Art Department

Familiar face joins Art Department

A familiar face to the district has joined the art staff at the High School. In the fall, Mrs. Marielle Martin a long time BC art teacher joined the High School Art Staff. 

Many students and families know Mrs. Martin from teaching at Elsmere, Hamagrael and The Middle School.   Mrs. Martin’s love of digital media and knowledge of Photoshop is utilized in her teaching assignment.  Mrs. Martin teachers the foundation course Studio in Art as well as Photography and Advertising Design.

Mrs. Martin mentioned how wonderful it was to see her students grow along with her.  A few students had Mrs. Martin in Elementary School, Middle School and High School!  Mrs. Martin brings with her a love of Converse sneakers!  Mrs. Martin documented this at the Middle School and students recently finished up line designs using their own Converse Sneakers and Mrs. Martin also let the students draw the Vintage Chuck Taylor’s Mrs. Martin wore for her wedding.

Mrs. Martin is also continuing her tradition of documenting her students work.  Mrs. Martin has several students that she created on-line portfolios for and she has documented the student’s artistic growth over their educational career here at BC.  We are thrilled to have Mrs. Martin at the High School!
