Athletics

Bethlehem Central believes that participation in sports provides a wealth of opportunities and experiences that assist students in their education. Accordingly, the district offers students opportunities to participate in more than 20 sports across three seasons. The district is a member of the New York State Athletic Association, competing as a Class A school in Section II. BC's league affiliation is with the Suburban Scholastic Council, competing in the Council's gold division.

Section II Champs

Congratulations to Girls Volleyball, Girls soccer

Congratulations to both the varsity girls volleyball and soccer teams who earned Class AA Section II championships this week with victories over Shenendehowa High School this past week. The two teams will go on to the regionals, with games taking place on Saturday, Nov. 14. Girls Volleyball will traveling to Cicero-North Syracuse High School for a 1 p.m. game against Baldwinsville. Girls soccer will take on Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse at Stillwater High School at 1 p.m. Good luck to both teams!  

winter 2009 starting dates

These dates are set by the Suburban Scholastic Council to provide the earliest date allowed for each level/sport to hold try-outs for the winter sports season. Actual starting dates are at the coaches' discretion and may be later than the listed dates.

• Nov. 2: Winter Sports (Varsity, JV, Freshman)

• Nov. 9: Varsity/JV wrestling
