Fall 2009 starting dates
These dates are set by the Suburban Scholastic Council to provide the earliest date allowed for each level/sport to hold try-outs for the fall sports season. Coaches may choose to start their try-outs later than the date indicated but, may not start before it.

All Other Sports (except Modified)

Need a BCSD Physical Form?
All Student Physicals (even ones performed by a Private Physician) MUST be
on a BCSD Physical Form no other forms will be accepted.

A Few Notes About Interscholastic Sports at the Middle School:
Interscholastic team sports are open to students entering 7th and 8th grade
in the fall. This is not the same as the Intramural/Extramural sports
program which is run through the BCSD Physical Education Department.
Students entering 9th grade in the fall must sign up for their sport of
choice through the BCMS Health Office.

About NYS selection classification
BCMS Students (entering 7th & 8th grade in Fall 2009) who display an unusually high skills level in a particular sport and who are interested in qualifying to try-out for a sport at the Freshman level or above must undergo mandated NYS Selection Classification testing in order to so. Students may obtain forms for this from the BCMS Health Office.

August 4th, 5th, 12th & 13th
(Students who are testing must attend at least 2 of these dates but, may
come for all 4)
