Used Book Drive
The Glenmont PTA is sponsoring a used book sale to benefit Doctors Without Borders, the Ronald McDonald House and the Bethlehem Festival Fund. There is a box in the Clarksville lobby where you can drop your gently used books for adults or children. The actual book sale will be held on May 18, the night of the budget vote, at the BC High School.

Workshop: Homework Struggles and Strategies to Help
Do your children struggle with homework assignments and do you struggle to assist them? Learn more about common homework struggles and discover strategies to assist with behavior issues, building literacy skills, and technology tools. 'Sister School' PTA Activities Off to a Great Start
The PTA's of Clarksville and Slingerlands have joined forces to provide a combined After School Enrichment Program. Tina Sheehan and Nancy Conway have put together an outstanding program that has gotten off to a great start! We have approximately 50 Clarksville students who are brought to Slingerlands every Thursday and Friday to participate. These students, along with about 150 Slingerlands children, are enjoying a variety of enrichment activities, including Aikido, Double Dutch Jump Roping, Creating Video Games, Jewelry Making, Creating a Student Newspaper and Cooking, just to name a few. Bus Garage Lost and Found is Full Again
Hats, mittens, bathing suits, towels, jackets and lunch boxes are a few of the items left on school buses. If you are missing a piece of clothing, stop by the district's Transportation Facility at 82 Van Dyke Road; for smaller items, such as electronics or glasses, call 439-3830. The Lost & Found will emptied during February recess and donated to a needy school.
Sheet and Towel Drive (Sponsored by Brownie Troop 1629)
Deposit your gently-used sheets and towels in the collection bin in the school lobby between Feb. 1 and March 5. Donations will be distributed to Capital Region shelters and other local agencies that help those in need. Thanks for your help and generosity!
