Clarksville PTA
Welcome to the Clarksville PTA
On behalf of the Clarksville School PTA, we would like to welcome you to what promises to be another enriching school year. For those of you new to Clarksville, we want to welcome you to our school, a school environment dedicated to helping our children learn and grow. To returning families, welcome back!
Our PTA takes great pride in working to enhance the education of our children. We have been fortunate to have a group of dedicated parents and talented teachers leading the charge! We encourage you to join us in participating in the PTA as we plan for various activities throughout the coming months.
The Clarksville PTA meets monthly at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are located in the school cafeteria/auditorium. Meeting announcements will be made in the school's electronic newsletter Captions, and a notice will be sent home the Friday before the upcoming monthly meeting.
PTA News
Read-In and Book Fair Thank you
The PTA would like to thank Nancy Conway Bivenue and Cindy Giffords for the very successful Read In that we had on April 28th. The children did a great job or accumulating hours of reading to make the book worm grow through our hallways. Our Book Fair was also a success and we would like to thank the efforts of Abby Mouzakes and Patty Ells.
Flower sale thank you
The PTA would also like to thank Tracy Nautel for her work on the Flower Sale. We made $860 to benefit the McDonald Scholarship fund. Thanks to all that participated.
Earth Day a Huge Success
Earth day celebration on April 15th was a huge success and fun was had by all the children. The PTA would like to thank Amy Price for all her hard work in getting the vendors together for such a wonderful event.
Lip Sync a great success
A huge thank-you goes out to Mrs. Kim Gregory for her exceptional job in chairing the Lip Sync event at Clarksville on Friday March 25th. The cafetorium was packed with family and friends to watch our 3rd-5th graders perform. It was also a successful night as there was $290 dollars in donations collected from the bake sale that was held at the Lip Sync. Money donated will be sent to the Red Cross for the relief efforts in Japan. Thanks to all the families that baked and made this a great success.

Junior Achievement
JA is a program that educates children about communities, entrepreneurship
and the importance of education through hands on lessons. Each lesson is
already prepared by JA with explicit directions and guidelines for teaching
the class. It is a five week presentation with 1 hour prep time and 45
minutes of class time per week. This is a very rewarding experience! Go to
www.JA.ORG to find out more and to sign up.
