Most students at the middle school, except those exempted by the Committee on Special Education, begin to study a new language in sixth grade. Roller skating is coming to Eagle
On Friday, February 26, the PTO will host a roller skating party in the school gymnasium. All 4 Fun Entertainment will be running the event. They provide the roller skates and a DJ who plays music and also leads the group in games. The cost of the event is $6.00 per student and is open to Eagle students only. Hope For Haiti
Making a difference at Eagle! Students and staff will be donating all the proceeds from our Eagle has Heart fund-raiser this Valentine's Day to support the people of Haiti. Click here for more information. [PDF]
Cheesecake fundraiser now under way
The cheesecake fund-raiser for Nature's Classroom/5th grade activities is underway. We have raised $1,275 for the 4th grade class to date. Let's make this our most successful fundraiser yet! The fundraiser will run through 2/12. Please make checks payable to the Eagle PTO. Workshop: Homework struggles and strategies to help
Do your children struggle with homework assignments and do you struggle to assist them? Learn more about common homework struggles and discover strategies to assist with behavior issues, building literacy skills, and technology tools. Bus Garage Lost and Found is full again
Hats, mittens, bathing suits, towels, jackets and lunch boxes are a few of the items left on school buses. If you are missing a piece of clothing, stop by the district's Transportation Facility at 82 Van Dyke Road; for smaller items, such as electronics or glasses, call 439-3830. The Lost & Found will emptied during February recess and donated to a needy school.
Jump Start program looking for volunteers
Attention Hamagrael and Eagle parents and grandparents: Jump Start needs you! If you have an hour a week to volunteer to help improve the literacy skills of our students, please contact Jen Spore, Jump Start Coordinator, at sporejd@verizon.net.
Do you have a child ready to start kindergarten next year?
Kindergarten registration for children who will be 5 years old by December 1, 2010, will be held in February this year. A packet of registration materials with detailed information about registering will arrive in the mail in early January. If you did not receive this information, please contact district Registrar Melissa Haas at 439-7481.
