RPI SCIENCE SCHOLARS

December 2011 - Graduate students from RPI came to work on science experiments with Glenmont students.  The library was turned into a lab as students learned about polymers! 

2011-12 GUEST AUTHOR VISIT

FALL BOOK FAIR

Special thanks to Vicki Pocorobba, Cara Qualia and Nancy Rose Smith for another successful BOOK FAIR!  Through the generosity of parents and the PTA, we were able to add many great books to our library collection.

• 2010-11 GUEST AUTHOR VISIT

Gary VanRiper, who along with son Justin authors the Adirondack Kids series, visited Glenmont on December 3, 2010 with his wife Carol (who illustrates the books).  Students prepared by reading their books and learning about the Adirondacks -- see pictures below.  Gary and Carol spoke about the writing process; how they get story and illustration inspiration; and the importance of reading and keeping a journal.
