Elementary School Faculties set for 2008-09
Release Date: Feb. 25, 2008
The opening next fall of Eagle Elementary School, the district’s sixth, means there will be some transition among elementary teacher placements to both staff the new school and ensure that each of the elementary schools will have strong, balanced faculties.
The district recently concluded this decision-making process for regular classroom teachers, with the main goal of achieving this overall balance and strength.
The district began by asking for volunteers among elementary faculty members. A Bethlehem Central Teachers Association committee served in an advisory role, offering valuable input prior to the final decisions, which were made by central office administrators and the elementary principals.
This process, and the faculty lists provided below, dealt only with regular classroom teachers. Decisions about special subject teacher placements and special education teacher placements will be made this spring.
Principals will be working with their faculties this spring to prepare for a strong start to the 2008-09 school year. They will also be establishing grade level assignments during this time period.
In addition, the district plans to set aside a day for the Eagle faculty to begin working together and with Eagle Principal Dianna Reagan.
