Bethlehem Central believes that participation in sports provides a wealth of opportunities and experiences that assist students in their education. Accordingly, the district offers students opportunities to participate in more than 20 sports across three seasons. The district is a member of the New York State Athletic Association, competing as a Class A school in Section II. BC's league affiliation is with the Suburban Scholastic Council, competing in the Council's south division.

 

News and Announcements

 Soccer camp offered

The Girls Varsity Soccer team would like to invite students grades K-5 to participate in our one-day after school clinic that will teach the basic technique for proper passing, dribbling, shooting, and fun. It will be after school until 4:30 and will be run by the returning Girls Varsity Soccer Team along with our coach, Tom Rogan. The cost will be $20 and will help support our soccer booster club. We hope to see your son or daughter grade K-5 there! Forms to apply may be found by clicking here [PDF] as well as at the public library.

Eagle Spike Camp, July 9-13

Eagle Spike Camp is coed camp taking place this summer for any student in grades 7-12 interested in playing volleyball. Email Rick Arket (Boys Varsity Coach and Camp Coordinator) for more information at rarket@bcsd.neric.org.

modified Lax practice moves to BCHS

Parents and Boys Modified Lacrosse Team Members: Starting on Thursday, April 19, the Boys Modified Lacrosse team will be practicing at the High School. Transportation will be provided at 3 p.m. from the Middle School to the High School. Students will need to bring all of their belongings. Students will need to be picked up after practice at the high school. There will not be transportation provided to return to the middle school. Due to the move to the high school, practice will be held from 3:30 – 5 p.m. at the high school.

Bus Routes for Players who travel between the MS and HS after school

HS students who travel to the MS after school for sports may take Rte. 56 in Lot 1 at 2:30 pm.

MS students who travel after school to the HS for sports may take Rte. 42 in Slot 1 or Rte. 65 in Slot 8.

BCSD students who are lifeguard certified

The Athletic department is seeking qualified HS students who are 16 or older to work as lifeguards (must be certified) for the BCSD Athletic swim and diving teams after school during the fall and/or winter seasons.
