Employment

 

Instructional and Administrative Employment

Bethlehem Central School District accepts applications for teachers and administrators through the Capital Region Online Applications System (OLAS). Paper applications are not accepted. For more information and a list of current openings, please click here or visit OLAS.

 

Support Staff openings

Applications for support staff positions are available for print or download by clicking here (PDF), or in the Business Office during normal office hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information and a list of current openings, please click here.

 

Substitute Teaching at Bethlehem Central 

Individuals interested in substituting in the district should register with the district using the Capital Region BOCES Substitute Service, which can be contacted through their Web site or at (518) 464-3918.

Substitute teachers earn $90 per day. New York State Teacher certification is not required for substitute teachers, but if you are not certified, you will be limited to a maximum of 40 days of substituting per school year.    

 

Tutoring

Applicants only interested in tutoring should fill out an application through the Substitute Registry of the Capital Region BOCES.

 

Substitute nursing at Bethlehem Central

Individuals interested in substituting in the district should register with the district using the Capital Region BOCES Substitute Service, which can be contacted through their Web site or at (518) 464-3918.

Substitute nurses earn $22.38/hour. Current NYS registered nurse certification and proof of current CPR certification is required."

 

Substitute Support Staff Opportunities

Applications for support staff substitutes (teacher aides, clerical staff, custodians, food service helper, school monitor, bus drivers etc.) are accepted on an ongoing basis and may be requested by calling (518) 439-7481.

Most positions - including food service helpers, clerical workers, aides and monitors, custodial workers- are $9.00/hour. The bus driver rate is $20.19/hour. The nurse rate is $22.38. Please check when you apply.

Please note that New York State Law requires all district employees, including substitute support staff, to be fingerprinted as a condition of employment. Procedures and policies regarding fingerprinting will be provided upon your employment.
