The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for approximately 1 million square feet of building space across 11 facilities on 260 acres. This includes cleaning, regular maintenance, snow removal, overseeing all construction work, and complying with all New York State Education Department health and safety regulations. The department also handles all deliveries within the district.

Building Project 

On December 2, 2003, Bethlehem Central residents approved a historic $93 million, K-12 building project designed to ensure the district has adequate space to serve the needs of students at the dawn of the 21st Century. The project has resulted in additional classroom space, modernized facilities, and safer, accessible and energy efficient schools suited to the needs of the students of today and tomorrow. As part of the district's responsibility to comply with all federal, state and local health and safety regulations, it must make annual notifications with regard to its Integrated Pest Management and Asbestos Management plans. MORE »
