Glenmont News

Glenmont welcomes new guidance counselor

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Laurie Bremer will be our new Guidance Counselor at Glenmont School due to the recent retirement of Mrs. Svare.

Ms. Bremer is a NYS certified School Guidance Counselor who holds a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany.

From more than 160 applicants who applied for the position, Ms. Bremer stood out as a result of her experience as well as her positive and thoughtful approach to helping children and families. She has worked at both the elementary and secondary level in her previous positions at Holy Names, East Greenbush, and North Colonie. She has a wonderful sense of enthusiasm and has already jumped right into the position after two days of shadowing Mrs. Svare. We are confident that Ms. Bremer has much to offer our students and our school community.
