District Guidelines - Keeping your Child Home from School

The district is committed to providing students comprehensive education and support that meets their health and wellness needs. This commitment is reflected in its school nurse offices, its wellness policy, health and physical education curricula, its adherence to state and federal health regulations and guidelines and comprehensive wellness policy.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Bethlehem Central School District health education program is to help students become self directed learners who will be able to obtain, interpret and understand basic health information and services, and develop the competence to use such information and services in ways that enhance health. By promoting both skills and knowledge, students are better able to achieve and maintain physical, social and emotional health which will contribute to a better quality of life for the individual, the family and the community.

A written statement from the parent or guardian requesting administration of the medication in school — click here to download a Request for Medication to be Administered form; and

A plan that has the parent or guardian assume responsibility in delivering the medication to the health office in a properly labeled “original” / pharmacy container.
