"Art is
long, Life is Short"
I have been
given the opportunity to explore my artistic endeavors for an entire year!!!
I am in the final stages of preparation for the first leg of my journey.
I will be cycling from home to and through the state of Maine. I have planned a route up the
coast, inland to the mid- state region, up and through Acadia
National Park, with a final
destination to Rockland, Maine. There I will take a
painting workshop from Serge Hollenbeck. I will begin my journey on a
recently acquired Bike Friday Sunday,
September 7th and return from the workshop around October 12th.
I
will record my experiences with photos, videos and paintings. Every
chance I get, I will download collected imagery and writings to this web-page.
I am expecting the unexpected with an open mind. Please stop by every now
and again to see what I have been inspired by and confronted with on my
journey.
It
doesn't quite feel right that I am not setting up the classroom for a whole new
group of students, but you are all in my thoughts and I will miss you. I
plan to visit sometime in late October. I will keep you posted.
