Paul Diamond's Letter of Introduction

Greetings to everyone at The Global Coalition from Robinson O'Neal Primary School, on the tiny island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin islands.

My name is Paul Diamond and I am the computer & science teacher here at a small rural school in the North Sound area of the island.

I am orginally from Glasgow, Scotland but grew up in Wanneroo, Western Australia and then later in Toronto, Canada.

Currently my wife and split our time between here on Virgin Gorda and on the relatively nearby island of Nevis, where we have our home.

My students and I are very glad to be able to take part in this project, especially the montly news "video" webcasts.

We do a montly school newspaper and this webcast project will tie in perfectlyt with it.

So look for my students reporting from under a coconut tree on your computer screens soon!

To find out more about us and our school, please look at our website at www.robinsononeil.com it has lots of photos (and even some video) of our school and island.

Our main project at the moment is a UNESCO sponsored environmental program for students, that allows students to study the health of their local beaches.

The project is currently active in 32 countries, so if your school is located near a beach and is interested in finding out more, please go to the website www.sandwatch.org

I update the site on an almost daily basis and would love to add new schools to the project.

Best Regards,

Paul Diamond
