My Clothes I
like baggy clothes and I don’t like tight clothes. My clothes are
fashionable and I don’t have expensive clothes. I like these marks
of expensive clothes: Rip Curl, O’Neil, Quicksilver, Billabong, Rusty,
and for shoes the marks that I like are: Etnies, Adidas, and Nike. The ones that I don't
like are: shorts, boots, shoes and coats.

What We Wear in IsraelThe
Clothes We Wear- A little bit different but basically the same as others!! On
weekdays to school we wear our regular clothes. The boys wear pants ( sometimes jeans- sometimes sweat
pants), T- shirts, and
sneakers. When it is hot, we
wear shorts and sandals. That
is most of the year!! The
boys also wear kipot and
tzitzit Kipot
are sometimes called yarmulkes. They
are skullcaps that the boys wear on their heads. Yarmulka is the Yiddish name for the skullcap or kippah worn
by many Jews all the time and all male jews (and visiting non-jews) at
Jewish holy sites. We wear
kippot as a sign of respect to G-d and that he is always watching over us. We
weara crocheted kippahs. Usually
our mothers or sisters crochet them.
Sometimes they are just one color.
we like to wear different color kippahs. some kids have there names
crochet ed into the pattern 0r even their favorite football or basketball
team ( like Maccabi Tel Aviv) On
our Sabbath (Saturday) we wear white kippahs.
a coloured kipah a kipah with
white kipah for Shabbat
with something
written on it
Tzitzit
are sort of an undershirt with tassels on the 4 corners. this
is because our Torah (
Bible) says, "You shall make tassels
on the four corners of your garments…" The
Lord said to Moses: Speak to the Israelite people and instruct them to
make for themselves fringes (tzitzit) n the corners their garments
throughout the ages; let them attach a cord of blue to the fringe at each
corner. That shall be your fringe; look at it and recall all the
commandments of the Lord In
ancient times, many garments were four-cornered. Because we no longer
regularly wear four-cornered clothing, we wear a special undershirt
in order to fulfill this commandment Some
people buy special tzitzit that have the special blue thread in it . This
is what tzitzit look like:
a
regular tzitzit worn under
your shirt
tzitzit tassels with the special
blue thread
The
girls wear t- shirts and skirts to school.
We have to wear shirts
with a short sleeve for
reasons of modesty. We
do not wear pants to school for reasons of modesty.
The skirts have to cover our knees . In the winter we also wear
sweatshirts, sweaters and tights or pants under our skirts.
In the summer it is very hot and we always wear sandals!! On
Shabbat ( our Sabbath) we wear special clothes – not our every day
clothes. We honor Shabbat
by not wearing the same clothes we wear
during the week. The basic requirement of Shabbat dress is to greet
the Sabbath washed and appropriately dressed.
On Shabbat (Saturday for Jewish people) the boys wear fancy clothes
like classic button shirt, nice pants and our finest shoes and a white
kippah. The girls wear pretty
dresses or skirts. The
dresses and skirts are made of fancy materials and we like to get dressed
up in our Shabbat clothes.
